RV Traveler HEART ATTACK... What you may wish to consider IN ADVANCE -- and when it occurs...

I just had a heart attack (Jun 2nd) - I share how I'm doing along with some actions that may have minimized the damage and even saved my life.

Heart Attack... Lightning Strikes Twice - As an RV Traveler, I responded well - see what I did...
https://rvacrossamerica.net/maysnow

I'm here in Casper for a month or so. Consider it a "fuel holiday"! At $5+/gallon for diesel, I needed to take a break!

I was greeted by (frankly) unseasonably warm weather - upwards of 84F, about 36 hours before HEAVY ACCUMULATING SNOW! Get the rest of the story in the video and here... (along with planned upcoming events and posts)

RV Travel to Casper in May and it SNOWED (twice!)
https://rvacrossamerica.net/easternmontana

I found an actual functioning original Woolworth's Lunch Counter - and I had to go to Miles City, Montana to experience it! (Good breakfast too!)

Miles City - an "outpost" in the middle of nowhere USA - the far western (and northern) region of the Great Plains. My last real stop on the way to Rapid City (and renewal of my drivers license.)

I also discovered Spotted Eagle Natural Area - and a nice small lake for paddling and fishing.

Harlowton - rural America - lots of space, few people - a semi-preserved downtown with a few places worth visiting.

RV Camping at Chief Joseph Park ($23/night for site with electric.) Just about in the center of town.

Deadmans Basin - neat back story, great reservoir, camping, paddling, boating

White Sulphur Springs - hot springs about 60 miles west of Harlowton

RV Travel Across Central Montana: Harlowton & Deadmans Basin
https://rvacrossamerica.net/whiteearth

Just a few days out from the Silver Valley, I discovered what may be one of the best (dry) campgrounds I've been to. White Earth (there's a story behind the name) Campground is run by the Bureau of Reclamation and sits along side the Canyon Ferry Lake (Reservoir) - the 3rd largest lake in Montana!

Spectacular waterfront camping on the Canyon Ferry Lake (near Helena Montana) for as little as $5/night (with the America the Beautiful pass.) I spent 3 nights, lots of paddling, good people and plenty of sunshine.

Caution - it can get windy there!
