RV Campers: RV Sellers are DESPERATE – RV Buyers are FEASTING – and – what changes will likely occur after Trump takes office…

Ok, Trump got elected. BUT…

What does this mean for rv sales? Will it continue to be a strong (incredible) buyers market? Will demand increase for RV’s and hence improvement for sellers? Watch my video below where I share my best analysis as of November 2024 – and please let me know what YOU think! There is a section below to leave comments. Selling an RV Camper Tips

Thinking of selling your camper? Your BEST path is to sell it privately. IF you consign it to a dealer, in MOST cases, it goes nowhere AND you commit to a HIGH consignment fee. The fee to consign is often 10% and at most dealerships, the salesmen avoid consigned RV’s like the plague! This is why I say they often just sit and go nowhere.

2025 RV Industry – Sellers and Buyers Outlook – Is this a good time to sell? IF I were selling my camper, would I get top dollar for it??

Don’t even THINK of selling your camper outright to a dealer! Why? Dealers want to buy a camper for “next to nothing.” They ALSO KNOW the book value of your camper declines every 60 days. The longer it sits, the less it’s worth. When a dealer buys (or takes a camper in on trade), they ARE factoring this reality into their offer to you.

At this time, however you decide to sell your camper, expect (in most cases) to get well UNDER book value. My clients and I are seeing well below book value with the campers I’m selling for them. And as noted earlier, values are updated every 60 days by JD Power. JD Power is the authoritative agency that establishes the value of RV campers. Each time they update, in these times, book values are headed DOWN.

Help with Selling (or Buying) an RV Camper is here…

I DO offer a Concierge RV Selling Service through which I help you to sell your camper through the private seller market. I write the ad and will guide you on the photos you’ll need (and then post them for you.) Next, I create a photo album for the extra photos. Perhaps most importantly, I take the initial call from interested buyers. Why? To separate the “wheat from the chaff.” In my initial conversation with a potential buyer, I remove the scammers and those who are unqualified buyers from the potential buyer pool. I then work with my client to ensure that your camper is sold safely. My goal is to see your camper traveling down the road with a new owner! More details and information can be found HERE.

Thinking of buying an RV Camper (of ANY type)? NOW is the time to strike the “deal of the century”…

If any of these RV owners decide to sell, is it a good time to do so?

Put simply, AT THIS TIME, the rv sales market is “flat on its back.” Calling it a strong buyers market is an understatement. People purchase RV’s with discretionary income. Between rising costs EVERYWHERE, reduced job security and more, there are fewer and fewer folks purchasing RV’s.

If you’re planning to purchase an RV, outstanding deals abound – but – you MUST know what you’re doing to avoid being “taken.” There are some outstanding deals available and many pitfalls that the buyer can succumb to. One major pitfall is buying an inferior quality camper.

In other words, to get a “screaming deal”, you must know WHAT to buy and what it’s worth. AND… if it’s used (often recommended), what conditions it’s REALLY in.

Want a “guide by your side, who also has your back?” I’ve been in the RV industry. I know their tactics and tricks, and I know what a camper is TRULY worth whether its new or used. When I’m working with clients who intend to purchase an RV, we begin by discussing the big picture. We converse about the types of campers that exist, the wants and needs of the buyer, their intended budget and more. I then get into specific recommendations and we’re off an running. Closing Thoughts (for now)

Getting ready for “work” – ski instructing at Brian Head

With Trump’s victory, we’re entering a new era. There will likely be MASSIVE changes and I’m optimistic it will be for the best. The time period between now and January 20th may be quite unsettling. I’m writing this about 36 hours after election day and while the nation has been relatively quiet, I’m not highly confident that will remain for this entire time period.
